Use the

submit multiple requests. Please allow our staff time to
process your new password request. Your new password
will be emailed to the address we have on file.
Accessing our system is as easy as 1-2-3.
First you need to register if you haven't already done
so. Your account information will be emailed back to you. Next, you will need a
5250 emulator. You can download a very popular one for free from
www.mochasoft.dk. Mochasoft is widely used
around the world and is easy to use. You may also use Client Access Express.
There is also a wonderful application called Passport 5250 available from Zephyr
Corp. They offer a downloadable shareware version of the application via their
website which can be found at
www.zephyrcorp.com/iSeries-access.htm. Download or acquire one of these
applications and install. Once installed, direct the connection to
address you were given in your welcome to Rikas Communications Email. A listing of all
our server addresses can be found at the bottom of this page. Do not use an IP
address. Our domain will
direct you into the system. If you are having difficulty connecting, make sure
you are connected to the internet and are not behind any firewalls such as Zone
Alarm or Internet Security suites or Windows Firewall. Make sure nothing is blocking port 23. Both
of the above shareware applications offer information and instructions to help
you get connected. Premium account holders will have access to our 'Access via
Web' feature which allows you to connect to the system through you web browser
such as Internet Explorer without the need for separate 5250 client sofware. If
you have an active premium account and would like to connect via 'Access via
Web' click here.
Using Mochasoft for example, after installing
Mochasoft on your machine, open the software on your computer and click on the
"OPEN" button in the top left hand corner of the screen. A dialog box will
appear. In the box labeled AS/400 Host, enter rikas.rikascom.net.
Click OK and you should see the sign on screen within a few seconds. If
you have problems, check to make sure you are not behind a firewall and nothing
is blocking the default port of 23, as that is the port it will need to make the
connection.
Use the following addresses to connect to our
systems, do not use an IP address.
rikas.rikascom.net
rikas2.rikascom.net
You should have received a Welcome Email from
Rikas Communications after registering which told you which address to use.
